Privacy Policy

What we collect

The photo you upload is processed entirely in-memory to compute a 512-number face embedding. We do not store the photo on our servers. The embedding exists only during your current session and is discarded automatically when the session ends (within 30 minutes of inactivity). The uploaded file is auto-deleted from disk within 30 minutes regardless of session state.

We do not collect: your name, email, phone, contacts, or advertising identifier. Your photo and face data are used only to create your cards and are automatically deleted within 30 minutes — never sold, never shared, never used to train AI.

Optional data (only if you choose)

• Account — if you create one, we store a handle, a salted password hash, any social links you add, and the look-alike cards, messages, and connections you create in the Connect tab. Accounts are entirely optional; the look-alike camera works without one. You can permanently delete your account and all of this data at any time in the app (Account → Delete account).
• Approximate location — only if you opt in to "find people near you." We ask in-app first, store a coarsened (~1 km) location, and use it solely to estimate who is within a short drive. You can turn it off at any time.
• Anonymous usage — to show we have active users, we log a random per-install identifier together with which feature was used and when (e.g. "opened Popular", "shared a card"). It contains no name, email, IP, or any personal content, and is not linked to your account or photo.

What we don’t do

• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party.
• We do not use your photo or face data to train AI models.
• We do not track you across apps or websites.
• We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
• When you tap Share, the photo is handed to your phone’s own share sheet — we don’t post anything on your behalf.

Third-party links

When you tap a "Recommended Programs" card (Coursera, LinkedIn), you leave our app and enter the partner's website under their own privacy policy. We may earn a referral fee on signups; this never changes the price you pay. We never send your photo or face data to these partners.

Celebrity images

The reference images of public figures are sourced from Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons under Creative Commons licenses. AI-generated outputs carry an "AI-generated" watermark, a CC BY-SA 4.0 derivative license, and a "not endorsement" disclaimer.

Takedowns

Public figures (or verified representatives) may submit a takedown request to have a reference image and matching profile removed. We process requests within 48 hours.

Children

This app is rated 18+ and is not directed to anyone under 18. You must be 18 or older to use it. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we learn that we have, we delete it. Reference images that depict a minor are excluded from the app and are never used.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA / BIPA)

Your uploaded photo and face embedding are used only to create your cards and are automatically deleted within 30 minutes (or at session end, whichever is sooner). If you created an account, that profile and the Connect content you created (shared cards, messages, connections) are kept until you remove them — you can erase your account and all of it instantly in the app via Account → Delete account. For any other data-subject access or deletion request under GDPR Article 15/17, CCPA, or Illinois BIPA, email xiaoxiaoshenllc@gmail.com; we will respond within 30 days.

Reporting & safety

Content shared by other people in the Connect tab is user-generated. You can report any shared card or user, and block any user (you will no longer see each other's posts, profiles, or messages). Reported content is hidden from you and reviewed by our team; objectionable language is filtered automatically. To report abuse, email xiaoxiaoshenllc@gmail.com.

Changes

We will post any material change at the top of this page with a new "Last updated" date.
